Ubuntu 16.04 instalação em HDD Externo de 1 TB

Depois de seguir alguns tutoriais encontrados no askubuntu, tentei instalar o Ubuntu 16.04 no disco rígido externo Seagate Maxtor 1TB.

Eu particiono o disco rígido usando gParted para usar a tabela GPT, em vez de MBR.

Ao executar a instalação, encontro o seguinte problema.

The partition /dev/sdb3 assigned to / starts at an offset of 2048 bytes from the minimum alignment for this disk, which may lead to very poor performance.

Since you are formatting this partition, you should correct this problem now by realigning the partition, as it will be difficult to change later.

To do this, go back to the main partitioning menu, delete the partition, and recreate it in the same position with the same settings. This will cause the partition to start at a point best suited for this disk.

A partição é criada corretamente, clicando também no continue basta fechar a caixa de diálogo e nada acontece.

O mais estranho é que, no começo, há 33 MB de espaço em disco não alocado. Normalmente, esse número é de 1 MB no meu disco rígido principal.

Só para notar, esta não é a primeira vez que instalo o Linux, mas é a primeira vez que encontro essa mensagem.
