Pacote para configurar o Trackpoint no Dell Latitude E6410?

Eu tenho um Dell Latitude E6410 executando o Ubuntu 15.04 mais recente (consulte Detalhes no final desta pergunta). Eu acho que tenho o mesmo problema com o TrackPoint, conforme descrito em:

Mas a leitura desse link me deixa confuso sobre como instalar esse pacote dos repositórios do Ubuntu (e eu quero dizer instalá-lo sem muito esforço, como fazer o download e compilar a partir de pacotes fonte).

A pesquisa na Web mostra link que fala sobre um laptop certificado. E6410 não está listado.

Procurando por pacote glidepoint revela:

Esse é o pacote correto para instalar? Estou concluindo "não" por causa do comentário acima. Se esse não for o pacote correto, qual deles devo usar? Se for o pacote correto, então por que a mensagem "no current release"?

Para desativar o DualPoint Stick no Latitude, abra o Terminal e digite:

xinput disable 'AlpsPS/2 ALPS DualPoint Stick'
