Eu sei que a segunda solução vai atrapalhar tudo e não tenho ideia de como resolver isso.
Desculpe se minha pergunta viola ou não satisfaz alguns critérios. Terei prazer em editá-lo, se necessário.
EDIT: Acabei de notar o erro

torna impossível instalar qualquer outra coisa. Acabei de tentar instalar texlive-full e kile e tive como erro.
Ao ler os comentários, percebe-se que graças a Gunnar Hjalmarsson eu poderia resolver o meu problema simplesmente indo para Software e amp; Atualizações e selecionando "Servidor principal" em vez de usar o meu espelho local "locaweb" (do Brasil).
