Problema de conectividade Wi-Fi no Ubuntu 16.04

Eu não consigo conectar wifi no meu laptop com o Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Alguém pode me dizer qual poderia ser o problema?

Como posso verificar se meu sistema não possui algum software necessário para conectar o Wi-Fi?

A questão do HP wireless estar inoperável por causa de um hard block e, portanto, a chave sem fio normal que não ativa e desativa a conexão sem fio é de longa data. Existem apenas algumas coisas que você pode tentar.

Primeiro, tente remover o módulo auxiliar hp_wmi e tente ativar a conexão sem fio com a combinação de teclas. Verificando os comentários acima, você tentou isso e falhou.

Você também pode tentar:

sudo modprobe -r hp_wmi
sudo rfkill unblock all
rfkill list all

Em segundo lugar, verifique o guia do usuário do seu laptop HP e certifique-se de que a combinação de teclas sem fio que você está usando esteja correta. Certifique-se de que você não esteja usando Fn + F12, por exemplo, se o guia do usuário disser que é simplesmente F12.
