Configuração da impressora incompleta devido a uma conexão medida

Tentei configurar minha impressora HP Deskjet 3510 no meu laptop Dell Inspiron Windows 10. A impressora está conectada ao laptop com um cabo USB 2.0. O laptop está conectado a uma rede WiFi doméstica. Depois de instalar o driver, a impressora não consegue imprimir, não pode ser definida como a impressora padrão. Há uma mensagem dizendo

setup incomplete because of a metered connection.

Eu tentei remover a impressora e conectá-la novamente. Isso nunca aconteceu antes. Alguém pode me dizer o que significa e como consertar isso?

A impressora está tentando se conectar à Internet através do seu laptop, talvez para verificar se há atualizações de firmware.

Veja link como ativar isso:

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

2. Tap or click PC and devices.

3. Tap or click Devices, and then tap or click the toggle under Download over metered connections.

Once you've finished downloading your devices updates, you can turn this setting off to avoid unexpected charges when you're on a metered network.
