Depois de instalar o Debian, não é possível atualizar

Eu tentei editar o arquivo sources.list para atualizar o repositório, mas não funcionou. Aqui está minha lista atm:

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

O mais estranho é que ele procura pacotes (o que não é encontrado) porque o arquivo real é Packages.gz!

Porque você está usando archive.debian.org , que é o URL da versão arquivada. Você precisa usar ftp.debian.org para versões reais.
