Adquira um novo laptop Lenovo T540p para executar o Debian Jessie . Ele inicializa, mas seja lá o que eu tente, os gráficos da NVidia não entram em ação. Eu fiz a instalação da NVidia muitas vezes para o Debian. Também para Jessie. E, no entanto, neste caso, não funcionará.
O que eu fiz:
O menu usual do Grub é mostrado - que desenha muito lentamente - e com certeza ele inicializa um Debian. O único incomum é o tamanho dos caracteres do texto de rolagem; eles são realmente minúsculos. E finalmente a tela fica preta com um cursor piscando. E lá fica.
X logging sugere que o dispositivo não foi encontrado. Por isso, também não foi encontrada nenhuma tela. No entanto, tudo parece estar em ordem. O dispositivo está lá e o 'nvidia-detect' confirma sua presença e compatibilidade. E os pacotes estão instalados.
Isso cheira a um problema específico do dispositivo. Existe o recurso potencialmente problemático "Otimização do SO" no UEFI. Está desativado. Eu tentei qualquer coisa que eu pudesse pensar. Mas tenho medo de admitir que esse problema está além das minhas capacidades. : -)
Alguém tem uma ideia do que mais posso experimentar?

Bem, por qualquer motivo, a seção Dispositivo precisa do endereço do dispositivo no barramento PCI, porque a detecção automática para configuração e execução não está cortando a mostarda. Porque o dispositivo está configurado incorretamente - especificá-lo na seção Tela também faz com que ele falhe a jusante do problema real.
