Pânico do Kernel do VirtualBox

Eu tenho executado o VirtualBox por algumas semanas sem problemas. Agora, quando eu começar, eu entendo isso

Para referência, o ISO é Slacko Puppy Linux .

Eu tentei remover e adicionar novamente o disco rígido foi sugerido .

Eu tentei carregar o Ubuntu em vez do Puppy e funcionou. No entanto, antes de inicializar o Ubuntu também colocou um erro

SMBus base address uninitialized - upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr

A procura desse erro levou-me a um postagem no blog que sugere

reset the VM and after selecting the language just press F6 and press enter to select acpi=off then ESC to go back. This should do it.
