Estou instalando o IBM RAD 7.5 no Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit recebendo erro Não é possível executar o arquivo binário

Estou instalando o IBM RAD 7.5 no Ubuntu 12.04, mas quando executo ./install ele diz

cannot execute binary file. 

Quando eu corro

chmod +x laucnhpad.sh
./lauchpad.sh

Então, novamente, não está funcionando.

Seu Ubuntu é executado em um computador Intel de 32 bits:

$ uname -a

Linux sumeet 3.5.0-23-generic #35~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 25 17:15:33 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

mas ./install é compilado para outra arquitetura de processador, PowerPC, para ser preciso:

$ file ./install

./install: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco 4500, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, not stripped

Então você tem o pacote RAD errado.

Eu consegui fazer o download com êxito da versão mais recente (8.5.1) para Linux, no link :

  • Eu usei o método do Installation Manager:

  • escolhiIBMIM_linux.zipnaguiadedownloadHTTP:

e era um executável de 32 bits:

$ file ./install

install: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, not stripped
