Tentando instalar o Postgres 9.3 em uma versão não-LTS do Ubuntu, como eu vou?

Estou tentando instalar o Postgres 9.3 com as instruções aqui . Mas a instalação está falhando.

Eu também tentei colocar essas linhas em /etc/apt/sources.list. Mas isso não funciona também.

Escolhemos apoiar apenas as versões LTS (suporte de longo prazo) de   Ubuntu porque senão precisaríamos suportar muitas distribuições   em paralelo. Geralmente, você pode usar os pacotes da versão LTS   que antecede sua liberação, ou seja, em raring (13.04), você usaria   preciso-pgdg (12.04).

     

Existe uma incompatibilidade conhecida entre as versões 12.04 e posteriores   envolvendo o pacote "logrotate". Possíveis soluções alternativas são:

     
  • use o pacote logrotate de forma precisa ou
  •   
  • desinstalar o logrotate.
  •   

Estamos procurando fornecer uma solução melhor para esse problema.
