O repositório Xenial não possui um arquivo Release

Ao atualizar, recebo o erro

W: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/mc3man/trusty-media/ubuntu xenial Release' does not have a Release file.

Encontrei um problema semelhante aqui: O repositório xenial maas / stable / ubuntu não possui um arquivo Release

Mas essa solução não resolveu meu problema. Aqui está o conteúdo do meu arquivo etc/apt/sources.list .

Eu vi em outro site que alguém tinha um problema semelhante e, por qualquer motivo, substituir "True" por "xenial" nesse arquivo resolveu seu problema. Claramente para mim isso não é problema meu.

Aqui eu encontro outra declaração sobre este erro: Como posso corrigir um erro 404 ao usar um PPA ou atualizar minhas listas de pacotes?

Mas isso recomenda remover certos ppas e não tenho certeza se devo fazer isso, pois pode significar não receber as atualizações de que preciso. É isso que devo fazer?

O PPA que você adicionou é somente para Trusty (mídia confiável). Obviamente, não tem arquivos para 16.04.

O PPA para o Xenial está aqui: link .

Eu sugeriria o seguinte:

  • Remova o 14.04 PPA - sudo ppa-purge ppa:mc3man/trusty-media

  • Adicione o 16.04 PPA - sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mc3man/xerus-media

Antes de tentar qualquer outra coisa, verifique se você tem acesso à rede do seu servidor para a Internet. Caso contrário, você receberá este erro também.
