Eu corro um comando “desatualizado” que pode ter prejudicado o Ubuntu!

Eu executo um comando possivelmente perigoso e imprevisível, por favor, eu preciso de ajuda para reverter as alterações que ele possa ter feito. Sem reinstalar o Ubuntu, se possível. Preciso ter certeza de que não fiz problemas de compatibilidade com a instalação de software antigo. Porque se for esse o caso, eu posso ter muitos bugs e problemas no futuro, e esta será a causa.

A situação: Eu estava tentando corrigir problemas de MIDI. Então, encontrei esta página , encontrei este comando e o executei:

sudo aptitude --purge reinstall linux-sound-base alsa-base alsa-utils linux-image-'uname -r' linux-ubuntu-modules-'uname -r' libasound2

Eu dei permissão de root depois de perguntado. E a parte perigosa é que, mesmo que o comando seja sugerido em uma página de ajuda do Ubuntu, a própria página diz que está desatualizada no topo e não deve ser usada várias vezes.

Este é o prompt oficial (e começa com o comando digitado). Você pode me dizer se danificou minha máquina? Eu estou pensando que ele pode ter instalado softwares muito antigos, porque a instrução estava no tutorial que não foi recomendado. Como posso voltar antes? Ou simplesmente não há problema?

De acordo com o aptitude --help

  

limpeza - remova pacotes e seus arquivos de configuração.

     

reinstale - Faça o download e (possivelmente) reinstale um pacote atualmente instalado.

Então, o que você fez é que você limpou os pacotes que estão em seu comando e os reinstalou. Então, tudo bem, mas havia apenas uma parte em seu comando que poderia ter causado alguns problemas. A parte do comando onde dizia:

linux-image-'uname -r'

excluiu seu kernel ativo e o reinstalou. Embora seja mais improvável que aconteça, mas em casos extremos, isso pode causar alguns problemas. Além disso tudo está bem.

Da sua saída, parece que não houve erros e tudo está como deveria ter sido.

Se ainda não tiver certeza, verifique as versões e tudo o mais dos pacotes removidos, usando o seguinte comando:

apt-cache policy linux-sound-base alsa-base alsa-utils linux-image-'uname -r' libasound2
