Como resolver o problema de atualização do pacote linux-firmware?

Se eu fizer um apt-get upgrade , recebo o seguinte erro:

Eu trabalho com uma nova instalação do Ubuntu 12.04 e este foi meu primeiro passo depois de iniciar o computador pela primeira vez. O que posso fazer para resolver este problema?

Estou trabalhando em um laptop Dell que vem com o Ubuntu.

Experimente este comando no terminal

 sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-firmware_1.79.9_all.deb

Erro:

trying to overwrite '/lib/firmware/ar3k/ramps_0x31010000_40.dfu', which is also in package bt-dw1705-firmware 0.1

Para corrigir:

  1. Abra o Synaptic
  2. Pesquise por bt-dw1705-firmware
  3. Desinstalado
  4. Atualize seu software
